Two Seattle Companies Collaborate to Help Hitachi Consulting Comply With Hitachi Global Branding Initiative
In a project that brings together leading
firms in interactive design and programming, Seattle-based companies GoTech
and Martini Design teamed to develop and launch a new Web site for Hitachi
Consulting, a Dallas-based business strategy and IT consulting firm. The joint
project between the internet marketing and Web development company, GoTech,
Inc., and the interactive and print design firm Martini Design, helped Hitachi
Consulting to comply with Hitachi, Ltd's (NYSE: HIT) global Web branding
initiative.
"When we were tasked with updating our corporate site to meet Hitachi
brand specifications, we knew outsourcing development and project management
would be necessary for such a large project," said Tracy Anthony, marketing
manager for Hitachi Consulting. "Martini Design and GoTech worked together to
deliver intelligent design, comprehensive organization for our vast of amount
of information, and a content management system that catapulted our
capabilities to make changes on the fly in-house without involving our IT
department."
From a design perspective, Martini's approach was to fully leverage the
Hitachi brand, and show the stability and successful track record of Hitachi
Consulting's business and IT service offerings. The new site brings volumes of
information into a compelling, intuitive and informative experience so that
users coming to Hitachi Consulting's site can easily navigate to the
information quickly. It expresses the company's unique personality and focus
while tying back to the overarching Hitachi look and feel.
"We leveraged our years of experience in supporting world-class companies
such as Microsoft and Nintendo with relevant, engaging, and thoughtful design,
to assist Hitachi Consulting in delivering a site that supports their business
strategy and focus," said Doris Quan, partner of Martini Design.
GoTech's content management software afforded in-house staff, outside of
the IT department, the ability to update content, change images and control
the flow of updates, streamlining the way Hitachi Consulting uses and updates
their site. GoTech built the site to accommodate daily changes as well as
future growth of the overall site structure.
"This project was a perfect example of why an effective content management
solution has become a necessity for today's business websites. Not only are
non-technical personnel empowered to update any content on the site, but they
can also be confident that all changes and additions will be consistent with
the corporate branding and style guidelines. This combination of design and
technology is very exciting," said Peter Miller who headed GoTech's team of
programmers.
