M.A.G. Gains National Recognition as a Multicultural Business Leader |
In recognition of its dedication to multicultural leadership, entrepreneurship and outstanding community service, M.A.G. Manufacturing, the world's leading independent supplier of home security hardware, has been named as one of the top 100 Hispanic-owned businesses in the nation.
Chosen from more than 500,000 participating companies nationwide, the award came from DiversityBusiness.com, the largest organization of diversity-owned businesses throughout the United States. Now in its 6th year, the Div100 list demonstrates the growing influence of minority-owned businesses and seeks to change the mindset that diversity-owned companies are small and insignificant. This award marks M.A.G.'s debut on the list.
"We are honored and proud to have been recognized as a leading minority-owned business -- one of a very few in our industry," states Mark H. Allenbaugh, president of M.A.G. "As the descendant of Mexican immigrants, I feel it is my duty to continue to strive for diversity within the business community."
"Diversity businesses and consumers are a growing force in the U.S. economy, and a force to be reckoned with," said Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer Consulting Associates International, the company that built DiversityBusiness.com. "It's no longer only about the Fortune 1000. This is a whole business segment that can carry its own, that provides jobs, products and services, and generates wealth for their communities. These are the new leaders in American business."
M.A.G. is currently lead by the founder's son, Mark H. Allenbaugh, Esq., a practicing attorney and former business and professional ethics professor. The company is a member of The Home Depot's and Lowe's Diversity Supplier Programs. For more information on M.A.G.'s many lines of innovative products and services, please visit www.magmfg.com. |
