Apptix Buys MailStreet for $7m |
Acquisition of MailStreet brings synergies in web-based sales for Apptix and positions the company better in the SMB market.
Apptix, a service automation software and solutions provider for the outsourced messaging services market, yesterday announced the signing of a binding term sheet to acquire MailStreet.
Apptix claims that the acquisition of MailStreet, based in Florida, brings synergies in web-based sales and creates a better position for the company in the messaging and collaboration market for small businesses.
Under the terms of the agreement, Apptix will acquire all the assets of MailStreet for a total consideration of $7 million. As a result of this transaction, Apptix expects 2006 revenues in the range of $19-21 million and an increment to over 64,000 end- users and 7,500 customers worldwide.
"The acquisition of MailStreet dramatically strengthens our position in the SMB on-demand market," said Apptix CEO Amir Hudda. "MailStreet's reputation for operational excellence and strong track record of growth in web-based sales are perfect complements to our industry-leading service management platform and unmatched channel partner relationships."
