Gutersloh-BMS Provider Sets up a Wholly Owned Subsidiary in Australia |
The Gutersloh-based media services provider Sonopress has set its foot in Australia. It has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Sonopress Pty Ltd, to acquire the existing business of CD Media, which has specialized in the Australian promotion and publishing markets.
Sonopress Pty Ltd is the 16th manufacturing facility worldwide to be set by arvato-subsidiary Sonopress, and has ambitious expansion plans both in terms of capacity and range of services. It intends to expand beyond CD Media's existing customer base and to cover the Australian music, games, and video markets. This strategic move in Australia will enable Sonopress to add further strength to its existing Asia Pacific network, which already comprises its facilities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Shanghai, and Hangzhou.
Sonopress Pty Ltd will be a fully-fledged facility, providing comprehensive CD and DVD manufacturing services ranging from mastering through to distribution. The existing, customer-focussed attitude and production flexibility of CD Media, combined with Sonopress's technical expertise, finance, and global network will give the new company unique competitive advantages in the steadily-growing Australian market.
Hans-Peter Huelskoetter, CEO of arvato storage media, says: "This new set-up in Australia confirms the Sonopress commitment to continuing and uninterrupted growth in the Asia Pacific region. We are actively looking for regional expansion, and we expect an ever-stronger utilization of synergies to result from the network of existing Sonopress facilities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. In the Asia Pacific region, Sonopress offers an all-round service in the area of CD and DVD production, ranging from pre-mastering, optical mastering and reproduction, through to warehousing and distribution." |
