If you’ve been following the Xooglers blog, featuring the reminiscences
of ex-Google marketing director Doug Edwards, you’ve probably been fascinated by his articulate descriptions of
Googleplex life and personalities. Forget about the “War Stories” descriptor that brought the blog so much attention
from Digg, and don’t expect an angry expose’, either. Do expect the freshest, most evocative and amusing
stories from a player who was there pretty early. I was hoping the entries would lead up to a book, and perhaps they
will. But the site seems to be the main point, especially since a new blogger has been added to the mix—Ron Garret,
also an ex-Googler. Others might join the team. So it’s less about Doug and more about Google, and I still think it
would make a great co-authored book. In the meantime, it’s a great blog.
