Security aims to prevent Iraq bloodbath |

Coalition troops are gearing up for a wave of expected attacks in the next 48 hours ahead of a key vote Saturday on Iraq's constitution. Iraqi security forces are searching nearly every vehicle that passes through checkpoints. "There will be violence leading to the referendum," Col. Steven Salazar said from Dyala province, where the U.S. military estimates there are 3,000 insurgents. |
