The ailing sea lion, thin and tired, lay in a concrete pen at the Marine Mammal Center, looking up. "He's a shark-bite victim," said veterinary technician Michelle Caudle. "He's got a wound on his side. We need to take a culture, send it to the lab and adjust his antibiotics." |
