A federal judge on Monday denied a request to halt the extermination of thousands of feral pigs on Santa Cruz Island. The National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy say the pigs must go because they're damaging archaeological sites and threatening native species such as the endangered Santa Cruz Island fox.
