Pentagon extends Iraq duty for 9,400 soldiers |

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon said on Friday 9,400 U.S. soldiers have been ordered to stay in Iraq beyond their promised yearlong duty to avoid the disruption of a troop rotation during national elections slated for December. |
