More on Index Size and CNET

I don’t know which is bigger news, Google’s latest insistence that it’s index is bigger than Yahoo!’s (three times bigger, in fact), or the fact the Eric Schmidt delivered the proclamation to Elinor Mills at CNET. That’s the CNET that Google was petulantly boycotting. That’s the Elinor Mills who wrote the original article that so offended Google. So … what’s up? Is Google’s worst PR debacle now water under the bridge? Everybody just forgets about the childish and unjustifiable year-long boycott? Google doesn’t publicly acknowledge that it made an ass of itself and, perhaps, apologize? Eh, whatever. Congrats to Elinor Mills for granting the interview. And about Google’s index size … eh, whatever to that, too. Relevance, children, relevance.
