The Maps and Hybrid views don’t work in most cities. I couldn’t get “cario, egypt” to work as a search term, and had
to know where the city was to find it manually—likewise with the Giza pyramids.
Here is a link to a good shot of the Pyramids in Google maps; you can zoom in one more level. By the way, the
resolution of the Pyramids in Google Earth is quite good; you can zoom down below 1,000 feet (if you’ve got a good
graphics card and monitor) to get a good sense of the eroded stone.
