12/12/2005 8:35:56 AM - Intel Corporation has announced that, in collaboration with QinetiQ, they have developed a new, faster, low power prototype transistor that could and most likely will form the basis of their microprocessors in coming years. The new material should allow Intel to push their chips to higher clock speeds while adding additional cores without dramatically increasing the heat output of the chip. , |
