Google Video Gets Academy of TV Interviews

Google has joined with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation to distribute Academy interviews on Google Video. This is good content if you like single-camera, uninterrupted interviews in depth with television actors and producers. I’m watching the first part of the Ed MdMahon interview; it’s 30 minutes long and the first part of eight parts! This is in-depth interviewing.

I’m glad to see Google acquiring content for Google Video, and I wish the site did a better job presenting and promoting it. Now, Google Video displays three randomly selected videos on the search page. Some of those links are broken; others are utterly uninteresting. No mention of the Academy stuff, or even how to find it. (Search for academy of television.)
