Apparently responding to Europe’s jitters about
Google’s book-scanning program, in which several countries led by culturally proud France were seeking to establish
their own indexing of literature, Google has
announced its intention to expand
Google Print to books in other languages, published in other countries. Whether this political maneuver soothes the
European fears remains to be seen; also in the future is how european publishers will react if Google expands its
controversial Google Print For Libraries program
internationally.
