In what experts
believe will probably be a futile maneuver, Google has
asked
a federal judge in California to void Kai-Fu Lee’s contract with Microsoft and rule summarily in Google’s favor,
preventing the case from going to trial.
Lee is the ex-Microsoft
employee hired by Google, but prevented from starting his new job by a court injunction resulting from Microsoft’s
lawsuit filed in California. Google wants the case moved (and ended) in California; some observers predict Microsoft
will easily win in Washington.
