Forbes has weighed in on the Google Print issue, calling it
Google’s Stumble
and claiming that in its foolhardy rush to digitize against the letter of the law, Google has allowed competitors to
take the lead. I don’t quite get that last part: who has taken the lead? Google has released its first wave of public
domain content, and searching through it is an undiluted pleasure. Motley Fool is more stark in its assessment of
Google Print future: the company will lose its lawsuit, Fool
asserts, and Amazon’s newly announced
initiative—selling books online by the page—will be the winning business model.
