Cholesterol drug may reverse genetic disorder |
|
A cholesterol-lowering drug reversed learning and memory problems in a mouse model of a genetic disorder that affects 100,000 Americans. The findings, reported this month in Current Biology, were so impressive, scientists said, that the Food and Drug Administration has agreed to allow clinical trials in patients with neurofibromatosis-1 to go forward immediately. |
