Engadget flung open the door to suggesting how Gmail
could be improved, and three days later over 300 comments have been received. Perhaps the most repeated suggestijon is
IMAP support. All kinds of great ideas are strewn through the comments seciont, including better thread management, a
single interface for multiple accounts, a caustic “Nothing…it’s flawless,” labels attached to outgoing messages,
export contacts, multi-star rating system, linkage to the Toolbar, some poor soul asking for a Gmail invitation, still
more urgent requests for IMAP, easier deletion … and much, much more. Read through those comments and you’ll realize
how much room there is for improvement, even if you love Gmail.
