Al-Zawahiri downplays Afghan efforts |
|
In a video aired Monday on Al Jazeera, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahiri, downplayed U.S. efforts in Afghanistan and again claimed responsibility for the London bombings. Meanwhile, a U.N. report said there was no shortage of recruits for terrorism, and that Iraq has replaced Afghanistan as its training ground. |
